9th Anniversary!!

June 27, 2007 marks our 9 year anniversary!

We went to dinner at this cool restaurent called, "Culpepper's" out by Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall off of I-30... I had never been there before. It was an upscale steak restaurant. Very quaint. They gave us this dessert with a lit candle for free because it was our anniversary. Side Note: Can I just say that Lake Ray Hubbard is HUGE! I never knew I lived so close to such a HUGE lake! And especially with all the rain we've been having...hello!

My mom watched Trey at our house while we went and celebrated. This is afterwards. I changed into my jammy pants because the size 10 jeans weren't fitting too well after our big, yummy dinner! Aaahhh, jammies!

We've also started a tradition where we sing a "Happy Anniversary" song. It goes, "Happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, haaaapy anniversary. Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy anniversary. Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy anniversary. (repeat)." It actually never ends. It's to the William Tell Overture...aka: The Lone Ranger song.

10 Months Old!

Trey turned 10 months old on June 13th!! I had to rush and take this picture because we were getting ready to head to the airport to catch the plane to San Diego. Rush, rush!

SAN DIEGO VACATION!!

Okay, so how do you choose out of approx. 300 pictures, which ones to post? Well, here are just a hand-full. Shamu above...we went to Seaworld and had a lot of fun!

Okay, I think this picture of Trey looks a lot like his dad. I decided to add a picture of Del and I below...tell me what you think. Okay, hands down, he looks like his dad.


Trey's first swimming adventure! He was tired and really just wanted to go home and take a nap! Sweet boy!

Cousin Julie Comes to Town!

My cousin Julie flew in to town from Utah. She was waiting for us at my parents house when we got back from Virginia! It was so good to see her! She is my only girl cousin. And I'm her only girl cousin too. I have 5 cousins all together and she has only 2 (my bro. and I). Pretty crazy we come from such a small family! She is like my sister, really. She is Trey's first cousin once removed, but I think we'll just call her Aunt Julie instead of saying,"Your 1st cousin once removed is coming to town!"

Trey and Julie. Julie visited with us from Thurs. through Sun. and then she had to fly back to Utah. Usually, when we get together we end up talking all night...like when Del and I flew to Utah for a family reunion and we ended up staying up until 5:00am in the morning without even knowing it was so late!!! Well, we didn't exactly get that talking time in this time...I miss Julie! I'm hoping she will move down here some day so that we can talk and sew and eat lots of food (see below) and watch sports, ETC.! She and my mom worked on sewing camp pillows for 2 of my nieces and also made 3 sets of camp pajama bottoms. I worked at organizing my mom's scrapbook stickers...filing them according to category. So we spent time together doing stuff...It was fun!

It's a tradition that whenever Julie is in town that we have to go to Pappadeauxs (cajun seafood). It's always my mom, Julie, and me...or just my mom and Julie if I'm not around...Anyway, it's pretty embarrassing because I think we order enough for 5 people! Usually an appetizer or two (or more?)...meals...desserts....etc. It's pretty funny. Oh, and I don't like seafood, either. So, I obviously just go for the company.

Our VIRGINIA Trip with Del's parents!

Here we are in Jamestown, Virginia. Del's Dad Del, Del and Del...and Tina (me).

In Yorktown --a battlefield of the Revolutionary War. You can see the seige lines (or mounds of dirt that the Colonial troops dug up for protection and they bombarded Yorktown from there...)

Here we are at the beginning of our day in Colonial Williamsburg. I was pretty fascinated with these oxen. They are so big and move so slow!

Continuing our trek to Colonial Williamsburg. We walked under this really cool bridge. In the picture is Del, Del and Vicki...and Trey in the stroller. He was so good on the trip. He hardly EVER cried. He would nap in his stroller while we just walked around and looked at things, museums, etc. He is such a good traveller!

Walking down one of many roads in Colonial Williamsburg. You can see the back of Vicki, Del and Del Wayne. Unfortunately, my battery died early on, so I don't have many pictures of our day of exploration. However, I did grab a picture of the wheelwright shop below.

Del (pictured) asked the wheelwright lots of questions and recorded his responses. For example, did you know that a wheelwright has to do a 6 year apprenticeship and that this is their actual profession? They make things (wheels) and aren't just putting on a show for visitors. The wheelwright seemed to take his job very seriously.

Here are Vicki and Del as they are entering the Yankee Candle Co.!!! You can't tell it, but this is just a part of the building. This place is like a mini mall inside with lots of different shops and over 150 fragrances of candles. Very COOL!!! I love this place. They have a Christmas room where it actually snows. They have a lot of different kinds of cute shops inside all owned and run by Yankee Candle Co.
