On a Saturday & More

 We planted our garden.

We planted 2 more blackberry bushes, making it 3 total.

I put J in the bathtub with all three kids at the same time, for the first time.  I love Sadie's face here because I know she is just giggling in delight at whatever Trey is doing.

We got this COOL picnic table in the mail from Grandma Mecham for J's birthday that's coming up.

Del putting together the picnic table.  Sadie has been taking her clothes off more and more lately...we try and control it, but not this time!

Trey in the box.

The box was made into a race car with doors and everything!  Trey and Sadie are starting to play more together which makes me so happy.  They go into his room now and play together.

 The finished product!  Yea!

Sadie at dinner time.  She is probably saying, "Cheeeese."

Trey loves to pose for the camera.  He says, "What about this?"  and poses.  He's wearing his "new" tennis shoes that I got him at Once Upon a Child.  They are size 1.5 YOUTH and he is still 4 years old!

Spring Fun

We planted a peach tree, which I am so excited about!!

Ever wonder what your dog would look like wearing your children's clothes?  Chloe wearing Sadie's shirt.

 Trey pushing Sadie.

Trey helping Sadie either buckle herself in or unbuckle her.  I love to see him helping her...and vice versa.

 Little J.

Sadie likes to buckle herself in too.

 Trey lovin' life...

J just cruisin' around and pulling up!

 J on the swing.

Sadie's reaction to J on the swing.  She thinks it's her swing, I guess.

J cruisin' around and me just hoping he doesn't eat dog poop.

How did you spend your Spring Break?

Del took Friday off and we took the train (2 actually) to the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park.

The other two kids...we parked the stroller in the handicapped section.

 On the Fair grounds.

Trey and Sadie loved these steps.  Yep, forget the fish, just give me steps!

 Eels are CREEPY!!

Walking back to the train.  Sadie didn't want to be on Daddy's shoulders.

Waiting for the train.  Trey enjoyed sporting his Santa Claus look.

 Is it coming yet?

Happy as a clam...because he's riding on a train with his daddy.

St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patrick's Day I attempted to take the kids to the zoo...this is about as close as we got.  Actually, after about an hour of waiting in traffic to get to the entrance, we found out that the lot was full, but we could continue to wait in a ton of traffic and take a right turn and stop and go (mostly stop), then go and take another right turn and see if the overflow parking lot had any spaces, but the zoo worker guy (I was talking to him out my window, because remember, the traffic is at a standstill) said he thought the overflow parking was full too.  Great.  So, we turned around and headed home.

I did make my first bundt cake though!  I don't know if you can tell or not, but it is a shade of green!
On a side note, today Sadie got sick again.  :(  Throwing up at night and coughing.  Ugh.  Maybe it's a good thing we didn't make it to the zoo after all.

First Toothbrushing

I bought J a green Elmo toothbrush and here is our first time brushing his teeth...J has 8 teeth already and turns 1 yrs. old this month!

Kiddos

When we go to brush Sadie's teeth this is what she does now...she wants to taste the toothpaste!

In deep thought.  Have a mentioned that Trey LOVES to play games?  Oh, yes he does!!

WE GOT A SWING SET!!

Daddy putting together our swing set.  We have to put it on the side of the house because our backyard is slopped.

Trey was a great helper.  They worked until it got dark and finished it up the next day.

Finished product!  Look at those FACES!!

Sheer delight!

And it was a little cold...

...and windy.

Big Brother is watching you.
