Playing Catch Up

Here I am in Park City.  Went there a few months back for a girls' get-together with Del's sisters, sisters-in-law and my mother-in-law...

Del just getting home from his week-long scout camp out!  Look at the beard!

Sadie riding a pony and looking at a Sponge Bob book (or Bogare as she likes to pronounce it).

We went to a party at a friends' house and everyone had a great time.  If you look closely you can see a tiny mini van way in the background on the road and that's our minivan and Del is actually sitting in there with the kids waiting for me to bring Trey out to the car...it was hard to pull him away from the fun!

More fun at the party.  Sadie on the Big Wheel and J wearing the orange shirt.

What I do sometimes after the kids go to sleep...my view.  I like my new phone because I can take cool pictures like this one.  Ha!

Trey dressed himself here!  Go BYU!

Our little J in my parents' backyard...

 Slip n Slide fun!

What Del does when the kids are finally in bed.

My parents with Sadie in their backyard.

Trip to Sam's Club.  The kids actually had a lot of fun!  We got pizza and a pretzel.

Willowbend Mall indoor play area.  Kids loved this too.

 Little J.

Trey sleeping.  We've finally gotten Trey to go to sleep on his own where we don't have to lay down with him at night.  We still read him stories and tuck him in, but we would lay with him until he fell asleep...but not anymore!  :)

I've been eating a lot of this kind of stuff lately.  Mmm mmm good (just kidding)!

We went to a friends' party at a Natatorium and miss Sadie didn't care for the water.

The kids doing a kids aerobic exercise video.

 At the grocery store.

The temp. was 109 right before taking this picture.  We have seen A LOT of temperatures like this...TOO MANY consecutive days like this and there's no change in the forecast for now either.   I can't wait for fall.

I made the kids each their own little pillow.  This one is James'.  Trey's is a cars theme and Sadie's is a purple princess theme.

My dad after mowing lawns with my 2 nephews...

Sadie feeding James some ice cream.

Memorial Day

We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows in my parents' backyard!  Left to right:  (nephew) Josh, niece (Elle), (nephew) Taylor and Del.

Trey and the aftermath of a delicious s'more!

 Del showing how it's done!

Trey playing with Taylor in my parents' backyard.

Some of the boys and Sadie (in a baseball cap, so she fits right in, right?)  Sadie didn't want to leave Grandpa's side.  Don't you like Trey and Taylor's faces?
Shannon unintentionally set the camera so that it would keep taking pictures on automatic over and over again and this is what we got!

 Grandpa and Sadie.

Del and J.

 Taylor.

Cousins.

CARS

This is my 1990 Honda Civic DX that I've had for 20 years.  This week it decided not to run anymore.  :(

This is our Honda Civic parked behind our new 2008 Toyota Corolla that we bought today!

 In front of our house.

Now we have two twin cars!  Same color and both Toyotas!!

In keeping with the car theme, this is our new Cars swimming pool.  Everything is relatively quiet, right?

 Until...

...daddy squirts the kids with the water hose!!  Trey loved it!

But Sadie, not so much!

She doesn't like to get wet.

But all in all, it was a good day!!

Jubilee Costumes!

My brother took these pictures at my cousin Julie's house.  Our church youth in the area -- 22 Stakes/1000s of youth -- are doing a big dancing/singing production at the end of June at the big event center in Garland!  And Julie (who has her degree from BYU in costume design) was put in charge of the costumes for the whole thing -- all 22 stakes!)  SO, her house has looked like this for months...and this is just a very small fraction of the fabric used to create costumes for the big event!

 She is amazing!

Here's one she had to design at the last minute.  This is my brother dressed as Joseph Smith in 1800's attire.

Matching colors to fabric.
I can't wait to attend the event.

Big Brother is watching you.
